Cyn distawrwydd // Before silence
Yn enw’r Tad a’r Mab a’r Ysbryd Glân. Amen
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen
Wrth i ni baratoi i groesi'r trothwy, gan fynd i mewn i dawelwch
As we prepare to cross the threshold, entering into silence
Gad i ni fynd i mewn i hanfod y lle hwn
Let us enter the pace of this place
Fel y morloi sy'n gorffwys ar y creigiau —
Like the seals resting on the rocks —
heb frys ac yn sylwgar.
unhurried and observant.
Ar ffyrdd gwyntog
On windswept ways
Meddalu ein traed ar lwybrau glaswelltog
Soften our footsteps on grassy paths
Gad i ni droedio yn ofalus am fregusrwydd a harddwch y lle gwyllt hwn.
Let us tread with cautious care for fragility and beauty of this wild place.
Cerddwn ar dir sanctaidd
We tread on holy ground
Ymynwn ni hefyd, fel rhan
We too become part
o amser sanctaidd y ddaear hon.
of the sacred time of this earth.
Cerddwn ymhlith creigiau wedi'u siapio
Walking amongst rocks shaped
gan wynt a thonnau,
by wind and wave,
a waliau cerrig wedi'u gosod
and stone walls laid
gan ddwylo amyneddgar.
by patient hands.
Gweddïau wedi'u gosod
Prayers set
garreg wrth garreg.
stone by stone
yn dal i gadw’r lle.
still holding the space.
Helpa ni i ryddhau'r diangen.
Help us release the unnecessary.
Gad i'r distawrwydd fod yn ddwfn ac nid yn wag —
Let the silence be not empty, but deep —
fel y môr y tu draw i'r lan.
like the sea beyond the shore.

Hold us - here
Yn ffydd dawel y ddaear,
in the quiet faith of the earth,
lle roedd seintiau yn gwrando'n
where saints listened
fwy nag yr oeddent yn siarad, ac yn ymddiried ynoch i gyfarfod â nhw
more than they spoke,
yn nyfnderoedd tawelwch.
and trusted you to meet them in the depths of silence.
Rydym yn ymdawelu ein lleisiau.
Now we lay down our voices.
Rydym yn agor ein calonnau.
We open our hearts.
Wrth i ni gamu i mewn i'r llonyddwch –
As we enter the stillness –
bydd yma i'n cyfarch.
